Glaucoma: Nutritional Considerations

No controlled studies have demonstrated the ability of diet changes to directly prevent or treat glaucoma. However, because hypertension and diabetes are risk factors, a diet that helps maintain normal blood pressure and blood glucose may help reduce the risk for this disease (see information about Hypertension and Diabetes.)
